Potocki Palace
15 Kopernyka St.
Sat - Sun: 11 am - 5 pm
Let's start with the classics - one of the must-see locations in Lviv, an architectural monument of the late nineteenth century, a vivid example of historicism, which presents a collection of European art of the XIV-XVIII centuries. The palace's first floor is dedicated to interiors, and the second floor has a collection of paintings and sculptures. Here you can see the works of Titian, Georges de Latour, Goya and others, and the 15th-century icon of St. Paraskeva.

Andrei Sheptytskyi National Museum

We continue our journey through classical art and head to the largest collection of Ukrainian art in the city. The museum's fund includes 175 thousand items, but the greatest pride is the world's richest collection of Ukrainian sacred art of the XII-XVIII centuries. The museum has the main exhibition, Ukrainian Art of the Twelfth and Early Twentieth Centuries, and there are also changing exhibitions dedicated to Ukrainian and foreign artists.

Dzyga
35 Virmenska St.
Mon-Sun: 10 am - 11 pm
We can move on to contemporary art, so let's start with the legendary Dzyga - head down Virmenska Street to the building with a roof ladder that goes to the sky. For more than 25 years, this place has been functioning as an art space and is a common meeting place for Lviv artists - painters, musicians, writers, and other creators. On the ground floor, there is a gallery space where exhibitions are updated approximately every month and are dedicated to various topics, and where you can buy unique souvenirs. Part of the first and second floors is occupied by a coffee shop, which often hosts chamber concerts, poetry readings, and lectures.

Green Sofa
7 Virmenska St.
Tue-Sun: 12 pm - 7 pm
By the way, Virmenska Street has the highest concentration of galleries in Lviv so we won't limit it only to one. Green Sofa is a small, chamber gallery, but no less attractive and with its own charm. In addition to a reception area where you can buy postcards and jewellery, there is only one exhibition hall, and you will be greeted at the entrance by the same green sofa. Most often, exhibitions of Lviv artists are held here to support local art.

Icon Art
26 Virmenska St.
Tue - Sun: 12 pm - 6 pm
Icon Art positions itself as a gallery of contemporary sacred art. The purpose of this space is to bring together contemporary art and Christian spirituality. The gallery does not associate itself with a particular confession and seeks to expand the idea of sacred art, because it is not only traditional church icons to which we are accustomed, it is a special way of expressing religious experiences, which has many styles and techniques.
