No matter what time of year you plan your trip to Lviv, there is always something interesting to see and do. Even if you've visited the City of Lions before, there are still many fantastic locations, informative museums, and culinary delights worth your attention. Lviv is especially charming and picturesque in the autumn, with colorful leaves complementing the city's landscapes and its historic architecture. Your photos as souvenirs will be incredible.

So, while the autumn season is still here, whether you have sunny days or even some rain in the weather forecast, head out for a walk through the city's historic streets and savor the autumn atmosphere.

And don't forget to take note of our top 7 tips on what to do and where to go when you visit autumnal Lviv!

  • A Stroll in Stryiskyi Park

It is one of the largest parks in Lviv, a national monument of landscape architecture significance, boasting over 200 species of trees and plants. When Lviv experiences its golden autumn, Stryiskyi Park takes on a diverse palette of crimson and yellow hues in its foliage. The small park lake, where swans leisurely swim, adds to the picturesque view. You can also visit the greenhouse with exotic plants and even play the piano in the open air nearby. So, grab your favorite coffee and head out for a walk in Stryiskyi Park.

  • Climbing the Lviv City Tower

The observation deck of Lviv's City Tower is open to visitors every Saturday and Sunday. By ascending the tower, you also get the opportunity to see the mechanism of the ancient clock. In total, you will need to climb approximately four hundred steps, but the breathtaking view of the city from the tower (65 meters high) is well worth it

  • Purchase Candles at Lviv Candle Manufactory

At the Lviv Candle Manufactory, they say that 'A candle is more than just light,' and we wholeheartedly agree with that statement. As the days grow shorter and colder, the closer we get to the end of autumn, the more we crave the comfort of home and a warm atmosphere. When you visit the Lviv Candle Manufactory, you have the opportunity to buy handmade candles, created to provide warmth and coziness. The assortment includes a wide variety of candles, both classic and with various scents. For example, the new collection features candles shaped like little houses with scents of cinnamon, vanilla, and coffee. Additionally, you can purchase unique candleholders, aroma lamps, and scent melts – these are colorful paraffin discs made in the manufactory and scented with essential oils. When melted in an aroma lamp, they release an incredible fragrance that fills the space around, adding to the coziness.
