Before buying tickets to the desired destination, tourists and visitors normally look for current news about local quarantine restrictions. So we share information about the situation with Covid-19 in Ukraine and the new quarantine rules in Lviv.
Until April 30, the yellow level of epidemic danger is established as a basic one for the whole country. However, depending on the situation, orange or red levels may be set in certain cities or regions.

Quarantine restrictions: Lviv
On March 19, local authorities announced stricter quarantine restrictions in Lviv due to the worsening situation. And since March 25, Lviv region is officially in the red zone (provisionally till April 19)
❗ Take an identity document with you when you go out.
❗ Always wear a mask in public buildings and public transport.
❌ No mass events are prohibited.
❌ Shopping and entertainment centers, cultural institutions (museums, galleries, theatres etc) and nightclubs are not allowed to work.
❌ Cafes and restaurants are closed but they still can work on takeaway and delivery.
❌ Non-food markets are also currently closed.
❌ Non-food stores are closed but work for take away and delivery.
❌ Street performances are forbidden in order to avoid crowds.
❌ Bar and restaurant terraces are not allowed to open.
❌ Currently, bars and restaurants are not allowed to sell alcoholic beverages to go.
✅ Hotels and similar accommodation establishments continue to work.
✅ Guided tours for groups of up to 8 people are allowed.
✅ Food shops, pet stores and pharmacies are open.
✅ Fitness centers and gyms are allowed to work but only by prior appointment.
✅ The workshops for repairing clothes, shoes and electrical appliances remain open.
✅ Churches are open.
We also remind you that from March 22, all foreigners planning a visit to Ukraine must have a negative PCR test, made no more than 72 hours before crossing the border, as well an insurance policy that covers the cost of treatment COVID-19 and that should be issued by an insurance company registered in Ukraine.
Attention! There is no opportunity for foreigners to self-isolate or take a PCR test after crossing the Ukrainian border - they do need to take it before.
Citizens of Ukraine must have a negative PCR test made no more than 48 hours before crossing the border or install the "VDOMA" application and undergo 14 days of self-isolation. If you wish, you can complete the self-isolation earlier by receiving a negative PCR test in Ukraine that has to be taken in any laboratory / clinic from the list of the Public Health Center. Link
