Money
The national currency of Ukraine is the hryvnia (UAH). Paper banknotes come in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 50, 100, 200, 500, and 1000 UAH. There are also coins with denominations of 1, 2, 5, and 10 UAH, as well as 50 coins.
You won't have any problems finding a currency exchange office as there are plenty of them around. According to a new law, you need to show your passport or identification document (for foreigners) to exchange money. To exchange a traveler's check, look for big and reputable-looking banks. All ATMs, hotels, restaurants, and cafes accept Visa and MasterCard, and occasionally American Express. You can also use a terminal to pay for purchases in supermarkets and most shops.
You can exchange foreign currency for hryvnias and vice versa in banks or exchange offices located in hotels and various exchange kiosks. Foreign guests can also open an account in foreign currency and make money transfers.
Bank working hours are from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Roads
Always carry your driver's license and car registration document with you to fully enjoy driving on Ukrainian roads.
The official speed limits are 60 km/h in cities, 90 km/h outside cities, 110 km/h on highways with a median strip, and 130 km/h on motorways.
Working hours
Most shops and supermarkets are open from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm, without a lunch break on weekdays and weekends.
Restaurants and cafes usually operate from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm. Food delivery is available from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm.
The curfew in Lviv lasts from 12:00 am to 5:00 am.
Alcohol and tobacco
Alcoholic beverages can be consumed from the age of 18.
Drinking alcoholic beverages on the street and in public places is prohibited, and failure to comply may result in problems with the police. Alcohol can only be purchased in stores from 10:00 to 21:00.
Tobacco products can be purchased without time restrictions.

Wi-Fi and Internet
Connecting to Wi-Fi in Lviv won't be a big problem. Nowadays, most cafes, restaurants, shopping centers, and hotels around the city offer free Wi-Fi. There is also free Wi-Fi available at the railway station.
