Typically, pet owners choose the nearest park or adjacent area for walking their four-legged companions. In Lviv, there are also designated places and playgrounds where walking dogs is officially permitted. The city places special emphasis on ensuring that these locations are comfortable for walks, equipping them with special signs and waste collection stations.

In 2019, the Lviv City Council approved a list of places for walking and training dogs, which includes over 60 locations, and their number is growing.

These locations include regular walking areas (not fenced, allowing dogs to be walked on a leash) as well as dog playgrounds, which are enclosed areas where dogs can run freely without a leash. Typically, these places are equipped with benches and waste stations. The list also includes training and exercise areas where dogs are allowed to roam freely without a leash.

The list also includes training and exercise areas where dogs are allowed to roam freely without a leash. These locations are fenced and equipped with special exercise equipment for animal training and waste stations.

Such dog playgrounds are located at 56 Promyslova Street and 75 Stryiska Street. Additionally, there is only one two-sectioned area designed for both large and small dog breeds, situated in the Central Park of Culture and Recreation named after Bohdan Khmelnytskyi. Its area exceeds 2000 square meters.

As there are pet exercise areas in practically every district of the city, for your convenience and comfort, we recommend using the "Dog Playground Map".
