The Museum of Ethnography, Arts and Crafts is located in the premises of the former Galician Savings Bank. One of the most famous sculptural compositions of Lviv adorns the attic of its facade.
A female figure, which is surrounded by allegorical sculptures of the Industry and Agriculture, symbolizes Savings. However, it is often compared with American statue of Liberty, as they look quite similar. The original façade inscription, which was removed by the order of Soviet authorities, was restored at the time of Ukrainian independence.
Preserved interiors of a bank alone can fascinate every traveler. All this was combined with interesting exhibits of Galician Judaica (Jewish history and culture), antique clocks and ethnographic curiosities of the region.
