From January 3 to February 3, the Art-Memorial Museum of Olena Kulchytska will host an exhibition of graphics by Vladyslav Khrystenko's "Christmas".

Vladyslav Khrystenko is a representative of Kharkiv's artistic environment, he graduated from Kharkiv Art and Industrial Institute (1980-1985) - now Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. Since 1987 he has been working at the Department of Graphic Design, where in different years he taught special disciplines of the cycle "Work in graphic materials". The artist works in the author's printed and book graphics, and graphic design. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1994. His graphics are known in Ukraine and abroad. Vladyslav Khrystenko is the winner of the Grand Prix of the All-Ukrainian Contest of Book Graphics named after H. Yakutovych, laureate of the I. Repin Prize in the nomination "Graphics".

The exhibition of Vladyslav Khrystenko's "Christmas" presents 46 works in the techniques of classical etching and colour screen printing: graphic sheets from the series "Cossack Crosses" and "Strongholds of Ukraine", in which the artist rethinks the historical past of the Ukrainian people in symbolic images and recreates ancient architectural monuments.

The artist works fruitfully in the genre of applied graphics, and therefore a significant part of the exposition is occupied by his author's artistic postcards for the Christmas and New Year holidays, made in the techniques of etching and colour printing. Fascination with the native history and aesthetics of the Ukrainian Baroque period determined the style and artistic outlook of Vladyslav Khrystenko.
