Exhibition "Places in the change"

  • Exhibitions

From January 11 to 31, the exhibition "Places in Change" will be held in the Hnat Khotkevych Palace.

During the "Places in Change" project, the organizers and participants tried to create a place for reflection, discussion, and the opportunity to share, learn new things, and be together. Such familiar states also received new meanings of potential danger, fragility or fragility. The place where we lived was the Hnat Khotkevych Palace in Lviv.

The project "Places in Change" consisted of lectures and workshops that focused on the phenomenon of place:
- on the front line of the war (Andriy Bondarenko and Yevhen Gulevych),
- in the spaces of dreams (Bondan Shumylovych and Yurko Prokhasko),
- on the agora of cyberspace (Yurko Bulka)
- and in the kaleidoscope of living places of the other (Olga Povoroznyk and Anna Gruver).

The workshops also addressed the practical work with the concrete materiality of the place (Taras Kotliar and Andrii Linik), digitization (Roman Huk and Roman Shyshak), acoustic properties (Ostap Manuliak and Yurko Bulka) and conversation and participation (Yaroslav Futymsky).

The project's exposition balances between documentation, certain audiovisual results and interaction, memory, the search for peace and shelter from airborne anxieties, emergency exceptions and the already habitual need to adapt to potential threats. The project was in a unique situation, a state of both comprehending places in change and developing, itself emerging as part of a place that is changing.
