We invite you to the exhibition of the artist Asya Garmash. She lives and works in Kyiv, creating works in mixed media, multimedia and graphics. On paper, using acrylics, oil pastels and black pencil, the artist explores the plasticity of the human body, the sense of self in space and interaction with the urban environment. Asya is interested in ethnography and urban studies, and the author's presence is immediately felt in her works.
The triptych Drought, 2022, subtly conveys the uncertainty and anxiety of the inner world. The slender figures, almost transparent, are frozen in a moment of experience that we are all familiar with. Turning our gaze to the second room, we see the artist's latest work, Praying, 2023, where figures in need of protection and security seek it in the spiritual dimension.
