Destroyed villages and human destinies... The bloodied and scarred soul of war-torn Ukraine is depicted in the Ukrainian-Danish project in the play 'Special Operation.' It's a story about two Ukrainian women who are the only ones left in an occupied village. A wounded and abandoned Russian soldier intrudes upon them, presenting the women with a dilemma – to help or seek revenge. The role of the Russian soldier is portrayed by the play's author, the renowned Ukrainian actor Anatoliy Zinovenko. He calls this performance a story of 'heroism, humanity, and spirituality.' The play intertwines sharp irony and poignant sorrow.
Presented as part of the International Theater Festival 'Golden Lion 2023,' authored by A. Zinovenko.
The performance has been showcased in Denmark, Lithuania, Slovakia, and now in Ukraine.
