Christmas Mail
From December 6 to January 10, the magical Christmas Mail will be open in Lviv!

Although the Bandinelli business has faded over time, postal traditions continue to thrive in this historic building. Since 2005, it has housed an exhibition by the Lviv Historical Museum that recreates old residential interiors, alongside a modern Ukrposhta post office. Lviv is, after all, about the continuity of tradition and history. This year, the building will also host a magical festive mailroom.
During the holiday season, the Christmas Mail will feature a unique exhibition of Christmas postcards — a true journey through time and space. Two halls will showcase collections of collectible Christmas postcards with various religious and secular themes. Among them are postcards by renowned graphic artists Leopold Levytskyi and Bohdan Soroka. Additionally, postcards provided by Lviv residents from their private collections will be on display. For example, Mrs. Marina Dovzhenko, who has been collecting postcards and engaging in post-crossing for 16 years, has amassed a collection of about 400 cards from different periods. Part of her collection will be exhibited.
What to Expect:
- Visitors can purchase Christmas postcards and send them immediately.
- Online sales will not be available, and the assortment will change throughout the holiday season.
- Proceeds from the sale of artistic postcards will support the "Armor Bearers" fundraiser, organized by the city of Lviv in collaboration with the "Come Back Alive" Foundation.
Special Holiday Activities:
- A series of workshops in the Bandinelli Palace (Rynok Square, 2), such as making straw spiders, didukhs, and Christmas stars.
- A lecture series at the City Museum (Rynok Square, 1).
- Until January 10, everyone is welcome to visit the exhibition, purchase postcards, and send them to loved ones in any city or country. Celebrate the season with a touch of tradition and joy! 🎄
