What will be presented: more than 200 sculptures of the XX-XXI centuries. The central theme of this year's event is Chaos. It is Chaos that characterizes the process of creative search, experimentation, and to some extent, in the beginning, the style of organization of our event.

When: November 19-27, for the first time "Lviv Sculpture Week" will be held, which is planned as an annual event. It is limited to only one week, but with two weekends.

The sculptors are represented: by Olha Bezpalkiv, Ihor Bereza, Nazar Bilyk, Oleksandr Dyachenko, Oleh Kapustiak, Ihor Kovalevych, Vasyl Korchovyi, Taras Levkiv, Hanna Lysyk, Mykola Malyshko, Gia Miminoshvili, Yaroslav and Yaroslava Motyky, Roman Petruk, Volodymyr Semkiv, Oleksa Furdiyaka, Denys Shymanskyi, Ulyana Yaroshevych and others. Why: for a long time in Lviv, there has been a conversation about the need for art in public space, in particular, about the role of sculpture. It is why, within the framework of the parallel program of the exhibition "New Lviv Sculpture", a round table was organized; at which art critic, Orest Holubets, voiced a proposal to hold a week of sculpture in Lviv to convey to a wide audience and professionals that sculpture is primarily the work of the artist, and does not necessarily perform a socio-political function. The proposal was supported by Natalia Bunda, who heads the City Development Department, who narrowed the time frame, suggesting organizing the event in the second half of November. Therefore, the City, the Academy of Arts and the Ya Gallery art centre and sculptors undertook the project.
