On February 5, at 7 pm, the Lviv Organ Hall will host a Symphony Concert Takuya Shegishita.
An oriental view of European music. The Luhansk Symphony Orchestra and conductor Takuya Shegishita from Japan will surprise with their interpretation of symphonies by Czech Antonin Dvořák and Ukrainian Mykhailo Verbytskyi. What do these two symphonies have in common? It is the national flavour, reliance on the musical sources of the Czech Republic and Ukraine, Slavic melody, folk sincerity and energy. It is interesting that both symphonic cycles - Verbytsky's symphony (1865), which is small by classical standards, and Dvořák's symphony (1889), which is exemplary in their form - are truly perfect works that demonstrate professionalism, taste, and orchestral skill of both composers.
