Baroque 3-in-1: Chamber Ensemble "Soloists of the Lviv Opera"
Baroque 3-in-1 is the music of the 17th century by recognized masters of Italy, France and Germany of the early and mature baroque eras - a kind of journey through baroque Europe, from Venice through Paris to Lviv. The works of Biagio Marini, Tarquinio Merula, Jean-Baptiste Lully, and Francois Couperin are rarely heard in Ukraine, although they form the basis of the repertoire of European performers of historical music.
Their style found expression in various forms - chacones, sonatas or concerts. Improvisation, expressive language, ornamentation are the most noticeable features of the Baroque style. However, the difference in the implementation of the basic principles can be felt when comparing two directions - Italian and French.
Listening to the various styles of baroque works, let's try to notice the inherent baroque correspondence of the language intonation to the musical phrase. The content of the works becomes eloquent and accessible to modern people.
