We invite you to watch the play "Buna" in the M. Zankovetska Theater
The plot of the play "Buna" is based on the real story of a family from Bukovyna. The playwright, describing the LIFE of the characters, depicted the Ukrainian village on the verge of globalization with the existing borderline states: poverty and the idea of wealth, poverty of culture and the desire for intangible goods of civilization.
The main character of the work - Buna (from the Bukovinian dialect "grandmother") - personifies Ukrainian traditions, superstitions, and beliefs. She is a representative of a person who has absorbed the national memory with its authenticity and "skeletons in the chest".
As the director, Olena Roman said: "Buna is a sharply captured by Faith image of Ukraine, which went through the Soviet era and did not lose its roots."
