The human experience of critical emotional and physical states is often comprehended in art. The personal experience of "crisis" provokes the artist to find renewal in it and to turn the excess of "decrease" of vital forces into new life-giving energy. Meaningful, spoken, drawn-in-detail internal conflict between life and death, caused by a critical condition, builds a system of its own reference points of survival.
"Hypoglycemia" is a series of works by Rostislav Luzhetsky, directly created on the personal experience of this physical condition. At the same time, thanks to artistic reinterpretation, this experience easily goes beyond the limits of a specific personal experience and offers through contemplation a kind of recipe for overcoming a critical state by a person: his physical or emotional exhaustion, his living through a catastrophe, war, family drama, - loss and loss.
