Never before have we lived in conditions of war as a full-scale invasion. So February 24 was a challenge for everyone: for people and animals. No one knew how to behave correctly, but many Ukrainians acted according to the call of their hearts. That is why we saw people fleeing from the war with cats and dogs in carriers, suitcases, backpacks, bags, with which they went to buy something just recently... Four-legged animals were carried in their arms, dragged along, often at great risk.
The Save Pets of Ukraine initiative has become the "bag" that helps to bring help to the pets. And not only in the form of food. But also by constant encouragement of all their friends to take the homeless animals into their families. We have collected in the same bag a lot of extraordinary real stories that are fascinating and inspiring - about pets and their people in the war: during evacuation, for rehabilitation, military service, living together sad and happy moments. During November we will tell these stories in Lviv Municipal Art Center.
