From December 14, 2022, the Dzyga Coffee Gallery will host the exhibition Kurbas. Studios".
One hundred years ago Les Kurbas founded the Berezil Art Association. It was "Berezil" that once changed the idea of Ukrainian theatre, proved its competitiveness and originality, and established a connection with world art. This exhibition is a "meeting" with the personality of Les Kurbas, his theatre, innovative ideas, and conversation with his texts.
It is an attempt to interpret his undertakings and creative achievements by modern youth. The exhibition is based on texts from the book "Philosophy of Theater" and highlights the work of "Berezіl", which was a kind of university for actors and directors, a research institution for scientific understanding of the work, and a space for experiments.
