Lviv First Ukrainian Theater for Children & Youth the premiere of the theatrical-musical project "Dzherehelya. SpringBraids", created based on Ukrainian folklore.
The theater actresses perform teasing songs, love songs, spring songs, and counting rhymes. The entire spring folk heritage for both children and adults is intertwined in the singing "dzherehelya" (braids, arranged on the head in a wreath, as explained by the dictionary).
The title is apt, as all the elements of the performance, like the braids, are held together and work in harmony, and, like a wreath, they create a beautiful image of blooming spring.
"Vesnianochky" is a unique modern girls' ritual for summoning spring not only astronomically but also spiritually.
