Imaginary Routes through Lviv is an intimate performance that explores the intersections of Lviv's histories and urban associations through playing in the sand. The river sand of the Poltva and the images on it will become the starting points in the fantasy journey of the participants, who will plunge into the imaginary world of Lviv through the water element, or rather the lack of it
Appealing to the medieval genre of itineraries (detailed pilgrimage texts and illustrations) and mystery theatre, Imaginary Routes through Lviv subverts them by focusing on contemporary themes of urban ecology, the history of local communities, and dystopian futures. In addition, unlike in past eras, the guides in this sand ritual will be two noblewomen who will reveal not only the secrets of the city and its underground water but also the imagination and memory of those present at the event, who will float in the direction of the Poltva River and its tributaries.
