A story about how a person, having everything, can lose it in an instant. The play 'Maklena Grasa' was written by Mykola Kulish after he visited his native Kherson region in 1933 and witnessed all the horrors of the Holodomor. In 'Maklena Grasa,' the author portrayed disillusionment with the Bolshevik government and the belief that such a regime has no future on our land. For our theater, it is valuable to honor the memory of Ukrainian cultural figures who belong to the 'Executed Renaissance.' At this time, it is more important than ever to expose the crimes of the Soviet regime to society.

Also, where was the 'individual' in the 'sovok' [Soviet]? Did it even exist in this system? We invite you to the performance of 'Maklena Grasa' based on the work of Mykola Kulish, performed by the National Satire Theater 'Under the Bridge.'
