The International Theatre Festival "Golden Lion" is a state-planned event of Ukraine, occurring biennially in Lviv, hosted by the Lviv Academic Spiritual Theatre "Resurrection."
The festival is a member of the European Theatre Forum IETM and the International Festival and Events Association IFEA. Throughout its existence, the festival has received support from the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, the Ministry of Family and Youth, Lviv Regional Council, Lviv Regional State Administration, Lviv City Council, the Theatre Association of Ukraine, as well as international foundations such as the German Goethe Institute, French Cultural Center, British Council, Polish Adam Mickiewicz Institute, Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, and embassies of various countries worldwide.
