TAKING RESPONSIBILITY
To preserve and restore our cities, we must take responsibility. Here and now, everyone in their own role - mayors, architects, businesses, residents. Not waiting for opportunities, but creating them; working more, moving faster, making difficult decisions, adopting best practices and wisely applying them in the local context. We are responsible for the present, so with limited budgets, we must invent mechanisms to rebuild housing, establish a care system for thousands of citizens affected by the war, and ensure a quality life for communities that allows human potential to be realized not tomorrow, but today. We are responsible for the future. At the second urban forum, we will continue the dialogue on what urban planning policy and legislation should be, and what tools and resources can already be used for quality transformations in cities. We are responsible for the past and its worthy commemoration in the urban space, for preserving the historical heritage that should become an asset, not a burden, for the community.
