September 23 marked 150 years since the birth of the famous opera singer Solomiіa Krushelnytska, whose amazing voice was heard and loved by millions of people, from Lviv to New York. She conquered the most prestigious opera stage of La Scala, constantly learned new things and improved her skills, and thanks to her immense popularity and talent she was able to introduce the Ukrainian song to the whole world.
Solomiіa Krushelnytska powerfully proved herself in another sphere - as a chamber singer. Her brilliant performances in concerts of chamber vocal music before 1920 indicate that she had long been preparing to change her role. The rich concert repertoire, and the ability to reveal her talent in a vocal miniature, which implies a subtle connection with the audience, brought the Ukrainian artist new fame and recognition.
