On May 1, the Phoenix String Quartet invites everyone to a concert!
Reborn under the sun’s scorching rays, rising again and again from the ashes, proudly winning with all colours — all this applies to the miraculous phoenix bird, the mascot of the Lviv String Quartet, and to the history of Ukrainian musical art. It is no coincidence that the concert will feature images from the cycle of Petro Titiaiev, the touching lyrical universe of Denys Litvinenko. The program also pays tribute to three composers of our time who passed away recently. They are Myroslav Skoryk (2020), Hanna Havrylets (2022) and Oleksandr Kozarenko (2023). This music contains warmth, the genuineness of the author’s story, a deep admiration for the charms of the original folk sources and, as a result, a genuine Ukrainian expression.
