The romantic ballet of the nineteenth century "Zhiselle"
The romantic ballet of the nineteenth century "Zhisel" by the French composer Adolf Adan is one of the best works of classics in ballet art.
It is a striking mystical story, which ends with the victory of love even after death: the love of a peasant Zhiselle is so strong that she saves the beloved Earl Albert from the deadly dance and the magic of fantastic Vilis.
Libretto by Theophile Gautier and Jean-Henry Saint-Georges.
Choreography: Jean Coralli, Jules Perrot, Mauris Petipa.
