Pidhirtsi castle is a magnificent bastion palace.

The estate experienced its significant development when it was the property of the Rzewuski magnates.

In the past, it consisted of large and spacious halls, which were called according to the colour of the wall coverings or to the collections that were kept inside: Golden, Yellow, Chinese, Mirror, Crimson, Knight’s. Some banquets and ceremonial dinners lasted there for weeks. The last owner of the estate, Roman Vladyslav Sanhushko, managed to bring most of the valuable things abroad before the Red Army came in 1939. The Pidhirtsi palace and castle ensemble has been preserved up to now. Besides the castle, it has included the accommodation house dated back to the 18th century and the park.

There is the St. Joseph’s church (1752 - 1766) and St. Michael's Church (1720) nearby the castle. During the World War I, the Russian army burned the palace down, and after 1944 it was looted again and the part of monuments was transferred to Leningrad.
