WALKING TOUR "MEDIAEVAL Lviv"

Route: through the streets and quarters of Lviv around the square. Market

Duration: 2 hours

Daily: 11:00, 15:00, 17:00

The excursion is the best for getting to know Lviv for the first time. During this journey, you will learn when the construction of the square began. Market, you will visit the four quarters into which the medieval city was divided, see beautiful churches of various denominations and hear fascinating stories about the life of the Lviv burghers. The tour ends near the opera house, which is considered one of the most beautiful in Central-Eastern Europe.

WALKING TOUR "SEVEN WONDERS OF Lviv"

Route: Opera House - House of Scientists - University named after Ivan Franko - Potocki Palace - Boim Chapel - Bernardine Church and Monastery - Italian Courtyard

Duration: 3 hours

Schedule: every day at 15:00 (except Monday)

The historical centre of Lviv is included in the UNESCO heritage list. The city is home to the largest number of monuments and architectural objects in Ukraine. During the tour, you will see seven of the best. The Boim Chapel is one of the grandest tombs in Eastern Europe, dating back to the 17th century, where a unique carving on a solid stone has been preserved; the only Italian courtyard in Ukraine, characteristic of houses in Northern Italy during the Middle Ages; the incredibly beautiful baroque church of St. Andrew (Bernard church), where 16 wooden altars have been preserved, and the sculptures are covered with gold leaf; The Potocki Palace, which was built at the end of the 19th century. For the governor of Halychyn, Alfred Pototsky, modelled after one of the French palaces; the main building of the University named after Ivan Franko - the building of the former Galician Diet, where at one time the most influential people of Galicia gathered; Noble Casino (House of Scientists) - a closed club of Galician aristocrats from the times of the Austro-Hungarian Empire; and finally, the city's business card, the architectural gem of Lviv - the Opera House.

LVIV DUNGEONS

Route: dungeon of the Garrison Church of St. App. Peter and Paul - the dungeon of the Dominican monastery - the dungeon of the pharmacy-museum "Under the Black Eagle" - the coffee shop "Kopalnya kava"

This excursion will reveal to you the history of Lviv in the 13th and 14th centuries. During the journey, you will visit the underground part of the Dominican monastery, see fragments of the ancient palace of Prince Lev, hear interesting and fascinating stories: about Mr. Maladobro, the "black princess" Halshka Ostrozka, witch hunts and others.

The next object is a pharmacy-museum, which is considered the oldest operating pharmacy in Lviv since 1735. You will explore 8 halls of the museum, including the pharmacy-kitchen, the alchemist's room, the places where the famous "Iron wine" was stored.

The next dungeon is in the former Jesuit church. Here you will see fragments of an ancient tenement house of the 14th century, a mysterious sarcophagus with a hole, an original door lock of the 19th century, models of Gothic, medieval and modern Lviv.

The journey ends in one of the most colorful coffee houses in the city - Kopalni Kava, where you can go down to "Kavova mine", hear stories about the first coffee maker in Europe, Yury Kulchytskyi, and also taste the signature "Zapayana Kava".

BUS EXCURSION THROUGH THE "ANCIENT SUBURBS"

Route: Lychakiv Cemetery - Memorial of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred - Cathedral of St. Yura

Duration: 3 hours

Getting to know the city from the windows of a comfortable tourist bus accompanied by a live guide. The tour includes three stops at interesting Lviv objects that are far from the city center. The journey begins from the Lychakiv cemetery - one of the oldest and most beautiful in Europe. Nowadays, it is an open-air museum, where most tombstones are works of art, as well as the resting place of the flower of the Ukrainian nation. The second stop is the Memorial of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, a place of remembrance of the events and heroes of the Revolution of Dignity. The memorial offers a wonderful view of the city, and the High Castle mountain is nearby. The third stop is St. George's Cathedral - the main Greek-Catholic temple of Lviv, which fascinates with its incredible beauty and a large collection of Christian shrines.

Shypit Waterfall is one of the most beautiful in Transcarpathia, situated on the northern slopes of the mountain group Polonyna Borzhava at the foot of Mountain Gemba. Synevyr lake is the largest lake in the Carpathian Mountains of Ukraine. It is located in Mizhhiria district, Transcarpathia region, not far from the village of Synevyr Poliana. Gemba Mountain is one of the highest mountains of Polonyna Borzhava Massif. It is the second-highest ski resort in Ukraine, after Drahobrat. The mountain height is, 1498 m.
