Volunteers are those people who freely and not for any selfish purpose, engaged in activities to benefit society. This is the main task of each volunteer for Euro 2012 to do most everything you can to every guest of Lviv City felt like home, where is a friendly mood.  Euro 2012 is a great event both for the city and for the world. The volunteer duty is primarily a friendly attitude towards the guests, to do everything possible to stay during the championship was a pleasant, comfortable, interesting and left many positive and unforgettable impressions

According to the concept of volunteer service to the UEFA European Football Championship 2012 in Ukraine 940 volunteers will be involved. Official set begins in late August 2011.

Lviv has huge experience in organizing volunteers during major events. Thus, about 4.5 thousand volunteers helped to organize the visit to the city of Pope John Paul II, more than 800 volunteers were contributed to the celebration of the 750th anniversary of the city. Lviv has the largest number of NGOs and volunteers among Ukrainian cities. At the same time the city has great potential for development of voluntary movement.  Every year more than 100 mass cultural, educational, entertainment and sports events are held here, which needs help.
